Foster Homes Needed in the Oak Ridge area!!!!
We are always in need of foster homes for dogs and cats. Fenced yards are preferred for dogs, but not always required
for the smaller dogs.
Please call (865)483-8146 if you live in or near Oak Ridge and would be willing to foster.
Adoptable pets on view at Belk's
on Senior Days in the Oak Ridge Mall; next date is Tuesday, August 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Look for us near the rear entrance off of Tulane Avenue.
Pet Showing at Petsmart
SARG is now showing animals at the Petsmart store at Turkey Creek the second Friday of each month,
4 - 8 p.m. The next dates are August 8 and September 12. The October 10 date will be
rescheduled because it conflicts with the SARG garage sale. Please let us know if you can
volunteer to help with the PetSmart showings.
Dog Washes
Dog washes are in full swing for the season, on the third Saturday of each
month. The remaining dates are August 16, September 20, and October 18. The location is the
Oak Ridge Animal Shelter parking lot at the corner of Belgrade and Warehouse Roads. In addition
to the basic shampoo, we provide optional toenail-clipping, blow-dry, de-matting, ear cleaning,
and anal gland expression. Energetic volunteers needed!
JakeBreak Kids' Safety & Health Expo
Saturday, September 6, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at A. K. Bissell Park. This is a new event aimed at
educating kids and parents on important health and safety issues. We'll have a booth with a few
adoptable animals and some coloring sheets and handouts of "do's" and "don't's"
with animals.
Pet Fest and Blessing at
Grace Lutheran
Church, 131 W. Gettysburg Avenue, Oak Ridge, Saturday, October 4th, 1 to 5 p.m.,
with the blessing at 3 p.m. This is an outdoor festival, with many activities, vendors,
and several rescue groups participating. SARG will have a booth and some adoptable animals on hand.
SARG Fall Garage Sale
Friday, October 10, from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Saturday, October 11, 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The sale will again be at 419 Valley Drive in Oliver Springs. There will be signs along the route
to the sale, beginning at Anderson’s Hilltop Market on N. Illinois Avenue. Please call
(865)483-8146 (between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.) by Wednesday, October 8, if you have items to donate
for the sale.

SARG Pet Photos Price List and Details
The first 4 x 6 print is $5 and each additional print of any pose will be $3.
All proceeds benefit the animals of SARG. You will be able to view and pick out your photos
on the spot, and they will be printed while you wait. Please call Jaime at 387-6535 if you have
any questions.
