Alexander Hamilcat
Meet Alexander Hamilcat!
He was an orphan, longing to be a part of something. He would beg, borrow, or steal — he had to fend for himself. Then SARG found him, and said, what’s your name? Alexander. My name is Alexander Hamilcat.
This charming little star is an 11-week-old (as of October 10) blue tabby point Siamese mix with the most gorgeous blue eyes you’ve ever seen. True to his name, Alexander Hamilcat loves to be “in the room where it happens” — right in the middle of the action, soaking up all the attention and affection.
Pick him up, and you’ll be rewarded with a steady, happy purr. He’s friendly, curious, and ready to win hearts wherever he goes. Whether he’s cuddling up for a nap or exploring every corner of his kingdom, Hamilcat does it all with style and confidence.
If you’re looking for a sweet, social kitten who will fill your home with joy (and a few show tunes), Alexander Hamilcat is ready to take center stage in his forever home!
Nebula
Nebula is a sweet, playful kitten with the softest fur coat you'll touch. Her coloring is both beautiful and unique, with her white stripe down her back. She was born around June 22nd, and at 3 months old, she barely weighs 2 1/2 pounds. This petite princess will melt your heart. Her favorite activities include playing with her brother Comet and Mandolin -- the other foster kitten in the house. She is absolutely crazy about her favorite treat -- a Churu. There is a dog and an adult cat in the foster home with her. The dog does not faze her, and she looks up to the adult cat as a mother figure.
Stella
🌟 From Mama to Forever Friend! 🌟
Hi, I’m a sweet tabby girl with big golden eyes and a gentle heart. I was born in January of 2025. I came inside just in time to have my very first—and only—litter of kittens. I was such a good mama, and now that my babies are grown and safe, it’s finally my turn to be cared for and loved. 💕
Life indoors suits me perfectly—I adore sunny window perches, cozy naps, tasty treats, and spending time with people. I’m playful, affectionate, and ready to leave my mama days behind for a brand-new chapter as someone’s cherished companion.
Could that someone be you? 🐾✨
Felix
Who knows the title song to the old cartoon series, "Felix the Cat"? The opening lyrics go "Felix the Cat, the wonderful, wonderful cat!" and they certainly apply to the all-black, probably part-Siamese, adorable but mischievous, one-year-old Shelter Animals Rescue Group - SARG foster kitty. Who needs to watch cat videos on your cell phone, when you have a cat who keeps you constantly entertained? Ok, yes he knocked his foster mama's cell phone into the toilet and she had to get a new phone, but other than that, he's cuteness personified. And yes, foster's household dog, who is three times Felix's size, is a little intimidated by this young dynamo--but who cares, when this yellow-eyed beauty stares into your eyes and meows very loudly and insistently for you to fill his food bowl? As you can see, anyone who adopts Felix will be smitten and delighted by this very curious, social, lively, and yes, wonderful, wonderful cat.
Aurora
Hi there, future human! I'm Aurora, a pint-sized ball of sass, snuggles, and serious cuteness born July 14th, 2025. My fur looks like an artist had a wild day with a paintbrush—one-of-a-kind tortie masterpiece, thank you very much.
I may be tiny, but don’t be fooled—I’ve got a big personality. I’ll chase toys like it’s my full-time job, pounce with Olympic-level skill, and then curl up in your lap like the sweet angel I am (with just a sprinkle of mischief, of course). I may even sit upon your shoulder like a parrot, purring sweet nothing's into your ear.
Bonus feature: I come with my very own heart-melting stare and the tiniest pink tongue that sneaks out sometimes—irresistible, right?
So, are you ready for a lifetime supply of purrs, playtime, and unconditional love? Because I’m ready for my forever home… and I think it just might be with you.
Mint Chocolate Chip
Meet Mint Chocolate Chip (“Minty”)! 🍃🍫
Sweet, playful, and oh-so-charming—Minty has it all! This 5-month-old (as of 9/5) tuxedo girl is as adorable as her name suggests. With her striking black-and-white coat and curious eyes, she’ll win you over the moment you meet her.
Minty is an active little explorer who loves to climb, play, and wrestle with her foster brother. But when the playtime is over, she’s just as happy to curl up in a warm lap and soak up all the cuddles she can get. She’s the perfect mix of fun-loving kitten and affectionate companion.
If you’re looking for a kitten who will keep you entertained with her antics and then melt into your arms for snuggles, Minty might just be your perfect match.
Thin Mint 2
Thin Mint is a big-energy tabby/calico mix with a big personality. She was born on March 6th of 2025. She loves other cats and gets along well with them. One of her foster sister cats is not a fan of her but Thin Mint is slowly winning her over to team Thin Mint.
Thin Mint loves to play with all sorts of toys, but she especially loves toys with bells and toys that make crinkle noises. She loves to bunny-kick her toys, throw them in the air, and chase them. Her new favorite activity is to take her toys into the bathtub and bat them around. After a long, hard play, she loves to climb up on the lap of the nearest human or snuggle in with one of the other cats to take a nap. She is a total love bug, cuddler, and an expert biscuit-maker in the making, and all-around goofball.
Chunk
Meet Chunk. He is a gentle giant, weighing in at 18 pounds, and he comes by his name honestly. But, even given his size, he is not an alpha kitty and gets scared easily by loud noises. Chunk is estimated to be about 7 years old. He loves to sit with his people all the time; he would love nothing better than to be a lap kitty for the rest of his days. Purring is one of his favorite activities -- as soon as you start petting him, his purr motor starts running. He gets along with other kitties, as long as they are not aggressive, but dogs are not his thing. Chunk still enjoys playing with little balls and toys. At some point in his life, the tip of one of Chunk’s canine teeth broke off. The vet has assured us that it is not causing any issues, and given his size he has no problem eating. To enjoy his life to the fullest, Chunk needs a quiet home. Maybe you have the perfect place.
Munchkin
Hi, I’m Munchkin. I used to be called Velvet, but I got this name because I’m just a little guy. Even though I’m a year-old brown tabby, I am only about 11 pounds. However, I do have a big personality, and I love to leap high into the air to catch a string toy. Boy, that’s my favorite activity. My foster mom has taken lots of videos of me chasing those toys. Most of the time my foster mom can find me sitting by one and begging with my eyes for her to "make it move”! The treat game is another of my favorite activities. See, we have a puzzle that my foster family uses and she puts treats in them. Then I have to figure out how to get them out. I do love treats. OOOH and that push-pop-licky thing - I think she calls it a Churu… wow those are awesome! Like, I’ll do anything for one of those. I am a bit nervous around strangers, and dogs really scare me. I’d love a forever family that is older and quiet. I don’t remember what happened to me or how I ended up in the shelter (I was really young), but, it must have been a little traumatic- all I remember is my foster mom picking me out of all the others. She said she saw something special in me. I’ve been with her for about 9 months, and I’d really love to find a forever family. I think I could be a wonderful emotional support animal. I will make a strong bond to one person and they will be my forever person. I will head butt them and rub on their legs while they are cooking dinner. I love to cuddle up while you watch TV and I’m a good nighttime cuddle buddy. Maybe you are looking for me, just as I am looking for you?
Here’s a video of Munchkin in action! And another video…. And another video …. and another video (5/20/2025)
Hiccup
I’m an adventure kitty searching for an adventure-loving, forever family. My name is Hiccup, and I’m a gregarious 1-year-old orange tabby. Are you looking for a companion that will take car rides and follow you everywhere? Look no farther than me! My foster family has a boat, and I do love to go on that too. I will be your loyal partner. Jen, my foster mom, says I’m more dog-like than cat-like - I come when called, I love treats, I will go for a walk with you, and I do love to play. But, I’m just a cuddly too. If you’re ready for a nap, count me in, and I will cuddle all night by your side! Don’t leave me out when making the bed or changing the sheets. That’s so much fun! However, I do know how to play with humans - I don’t use my claws. I have very soft paw pads, and I don’t mind my toenails being cut at all. If you think you might be a fit for me, I’d love to meet you. I think you will fall in love with me on first sight. Let’s go on an adventure together.
Adoption News!
Mandolin - ADOPTION PENDING!
Zippity Do Dah--that’s me, Mandolin, often known around the house as Zippy! I want to be a racecat with F1 when I get older, I love to run, and I’m so fast. My backup plan, however, if that does not work out, is to open a biscuit shop. I LOVE making biscuits (almost as much as I love to run); just give me a pillow or soft blanket, and I’ll go to town. My brother Cello has been adopted, but now I think it’s my turn to find my dream home. When I’m not zipping through the house, or wrestling with the adult cat in the house, I love to cuddle. I absolutely love to get attention, especially in the mornings when everyone wakes up. My foster family says I’m a typical 4-month-old kitten -- full of energy, enthusiasm, just the right amount of sass and a love for exploring. I’ve personally challenged myself to explore every inch of my foster house. I really don’t like to be left out, and I like to be right in the middle of...well…everything. I’m a great helper! I can sweep, dust, clear off shelves or tables, leave plastic bags around the house for you to use to put trash in, and even help with the litter.
There is a dog in the foster home; I get along good with her, but I may terrorize her just a little--but she likes the attention. The adult cat in the house is my best friend. I really don’t want to live alone -- I love having someone to play with and cuddle when my hooman is not able to be there. If you are looking for a charismatic, energetic, entertaining, gorgeous, and just all-round awesome kitty, I am your girl!
Draco - ADOPTION PENDING!
🐾 Hi, I’m Draco! 🐾
Don’t worry—I may have a strong name, but I’m really just a softhearted, snuggly kitty. I love people, I love other cats, and honestly—I just love being loved.
I’m a chatty little guy, so I’ll keep you company with my cute meows and purrs, especially when I’m getting cuddles (my favorite thing in the whole world!).
If you’re looking for a sensitive, affectionate companion who will always want to be by your side, I think I’m the kitty for you. 💛
Blaze - ADOPTION PENDING!
🔥 Hi there, I’m Blaze! 🔥
I may be small now, but I’ve got a big personality packed into this fluffy orange coat of mine. Some say I might be part Maine Coon, which just means majestic floof in the making.
When I’m not busy chasing toys, pouncing on kitty friends, or exploring every corner of the house, I’m happiest snuggled up in a warm lap. I love other cats, I love people, and honestly—I just love life.
If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly little guy who will grow into a loyal companion and light up your days, I think we’re meant to be.
So… what do you say? Want to make me your forever buddy? 🐾💛
Cherry Garcia - ADOPTED!
Meet Cherry Garcia! 🍒🐾
If you’re looking for a playful, curious sidekick, Cherry Garcia might be your perfect match! This handsome gray-and-black tabby is about 5 months old (as of 9/5) and full of kitten energy. He loves to explore, chase toys, and investigate anything new in his environment.
Cherry Garcia has a very distinctive feature—his tail often curls into a little question mark! We think he may have some Siamese in his background, which would explain both his unique tail and his inquisitive nature. He’s smart, social, and always on the move, ready to discover the next adventure.
When he’s not busy exploring, Cherry Garcia enjoys spending time with his people and soaking up affection. He’d do best in a home that can keep up with his energy, give him plenty of enrichment, and shower him with love.
If you’re ready for a playful, charming companion with a quirky tail and an even quirkier personality, Cherry Garcia is waiting to meet you!
Phoenix - ADOPTION PENDING!
Meet Phoenix – Your Little Ray of Sunshine! ☀️
This handsome orange tabby is Phoenix, who was born June 25. He's a curious, playful, and affectionate little guy who’s ready to light up your life. With his bright eyes, soft stripes, and sweet personality, Phoenix is the perfect mix of adventurous kitten energy and snuggly lovebug.
Phoenix adores climbing his cat tree, batting at toys, and exploring every nook and cranny. But when playtime is over, he’ll happily curl up in your lap for purrs and cuddles. He’s the type of kitten who will keep you laughing with his silly antics and melt your heart with his gentle sweetness.
Phoenix is litter-trained, healthy, and has been well-socialized, making him a wonderful addition to any loving home. All he needs now is a family to call his own.
✨ If you’re looking for a best friend who will grow up by your side, shower you with love, and brighten your days, Phoenix is the one!
Comet - ADOPTION PENDING!
Do you have a soft spot for orange kitties? Then Comet is for you! He was born around June 22nd, and at 3 months he's already almost 4 pounds. He has a very typical male orange cat personality -- chill, laid back, likes to play and loves to cuddle. One touch and his purr kicks into high gear. He shares the foster home with his sister Nebula, foster sister Mandolin, an adult female cat and a medium sized female dog -- poor guy, he's so out-umbered! He loves life, making play and eating food his hobbies. When he's not tearing through the house playing with the other kittens, he can be found curled up with his sister or hanging out in someone's lap.
Walker - ADOPTION PENDING!
Cat Ballou here reporting for The SARG Times. I’m interviewing Walker, a very special SARG kitty
Cat: Walker, tell us about yourself.
Walker: I’m an orange tabby, bobtail boy, and I’ve probably got a Manx cat for an ancestor somewhere. I’m the perfect weight for my big bones, topping the scale at 16 pounds. When I went in for my vaccines, the vet tech wanted to know if I was a cat or a mountain lion. I’m shy, but once we are friends, I want all the pets!
Cat: What is your career aspiration?
Walker: I’ve always wanted to be a Texas Ranger. Can’t you just see me with a white cowboy hat on my head?
Cat: What is your favorite quote?
Walker: A true friend is a friend for life.
Cat: Do you have any hobbies?
Walker: I love taking naps, and then watching the birbs and skwerls from the screen porch at my foster home. They are so sassy, because they know I can’t get out!
Cat: Would you consider yourself a lap cat?
Walker: I’m a polite, gentleman cat who doesn’t require a lap. I love to be beside you, and if you stretch out on a recliner or a sofa, I love to lay across your legs.
Cat: Any final words?
Walker: Are you looking for a handsome, 2-year-old fella? That’s me. Give me a chance, and I’m sure you’ll be my favorite person, and I’ll be your favorite cat.

Percy is as sweet as he is spunky, gets along wonderfully with other cats, and is always up for both playtime and snuggle time.
If you’re looking for a kitten who will be your sidekick, comedian, and cuddle buddy all in one — Percy’s your guy! 💙
Orion - ADOPTION PENDING!
✨🐾 Adopt Me! I’m Orion! 🐾✨
Hi there! My name is Orion—like the constellation, because I’m basically a little star 🌟. I was born July 14, 2025, and I’m a fluffy black-and-white ball of purrs, zoomies, and cuddles.
I love other cats (instant besties, promise!) and I’ll never say no to human attention—pets, snuggles, belly rubs, you name it. One second you’ll find me chasing toys like a tiny panther, the next I’m melting into your arms like the softest little marshmallow.
I’m ready for new adventures in my forever home—could that be with you? Come meet me, and let’s write our story together. 💕
Love,
Orion the Fluffball
Brie Clarson - ADOPTED!
We estimate Brie to be somewhat less than two years old. She's a beautiful kitty and very playful, sweet, and loving. She likes to follow her foster family around the house. She likes Victoria (the dog) and will cuddle with her from time to time.
Dusty - ADOPTED!
DUSTY AND SPICY are litter mates born on May 7, 2025 and they have been fostered together since four weeks of age. Both kitties have had their second round of shots and SARG will cover the last round (due 8/27/25) and worming should they be adopted before that date.
DUSTY is a playful and trusting Maine coon mix kitten. She is set for automatic purr when she is picked up. She will let you carry her around in the baby doll cuddle pose for as long as she can stand it. We believe she may also have some Ragdoll genes, as she trusts humans to hold on to her, so she doesn’t fall.
Spicy - ADOPTED!
SPICY is a very playful and attentive kitten. You may not have to pick her up, as she demands human attention and will quickly find her way to your lap. Her spotted fur is short and very soft and has unique markings. She will talk to you and then crawl up to your neck to cuddle.
Cello - ADOPTED!
Another beautiful spring afternoon, about a week after Viola's story began, a second story began to take shape. Four-and-a-half-week-old kittens, Cello and Mandolin, decided to make an appearance just before a magical tea party in the fairy garden with a bunch of girls. They popped their little heads out from beneath a woodpile in the foster family's carport and meowed loudly. They had a quick bath, which they did surprisingly well with, to get prepared to meet the girls that evening. Kittens + teen/preteen girls equals an evening of sheer bliss!
They are thriving in foster care. Their first vet visit was on May 29. Mandolin, a sweet and sassy little gray-and-white female, weighed in right at a pound. Cello, a fluffy, chill, gentlemanly black-and-white tuxedo male, weighed in at 0.97 pounds. Both are eating wet and dry food and figured out the litter pan all on their own. The vet did their first deworming and they go back in about 2 weeks for their first shots. Both kittens are already coming to the foster parents for love, attention and cuddles.
The adult cat and 51-pound black Lab mix in the household are helping to mother these tiny little kitties. They are doing their best to keep up with Viola and her high energy. Mandolin is quickly trying to work her way into the role of princess of the household with her feisty diva personality, while Cello likes to spend time exploring and hanging out with the dog. We can't wait to see what the next chapter holds for these adorable bundles of fluff. [Note: Cello has already found a new home, but Mandolin is still waiting for one of her own!]
Portia - ADOPTION PENDING!
Portia is a little orange female Maine coon mix.
Luna - ADOPTION PENDING!
Luna is a female Maine coon mix—a diva in the making.
Sirius - ADOPTION PENDING!
Sirius is a little male Instigator of fun.
Simon Short Tail - ADOPTED!
Simon Short Tail is back in his original foster home because his previous adopter was unable to care for him. Simon is a friendly and personable people-loving cat. This four-year-old bob-tailed orange tabby boy loves to sit on the screen porch where he can observe all the goings on in the back yard. Simon Short Tail loves laps. He particularly loves a lap at the computer. He’d love to sit on your lap if you’d give him a chance. Submit an application today to be Simon Short Tail’s new person.
Abigail and Ducky - ADOPTION PENDING!
NOTE: We are committed to finding these two BFF’s a home together!
✨ Abigail: The Lap-Loving Sunbeam Queen ✨
Meet Abigail, a gorgeous seven-year-old calico with a heart as soft as her medium-length fur. This lovely lady is a certified cuddle connoisseur—if you have a lap, she’ll gladly claim it for the afternoon (and maybe the evening too). While she’s mostly a lounge-and-purr type of gal, she still gets a gleam in her eye when the toys come out. A sunbeam, a window perch, and your companionship are her perfect trifecta. Abigail is the ideal blend of mellow and affectionate—ready to be someone’s gentle shadow and devoted snuggle buddy.
🌸 Ducky: The Fluffball with a Side of Sass 🌸
Ducky is a two-year-old purebred Ragdoll who lives up to her breed’s reputation—and then some. She’s soft as a cloud, sweet as sugar, and so ready to be your new best friend. Equal parts playful kitten and belly-rub enthusiast, Ducky has perfected the art of flopping over dramatically for attention. She’s a birdwatching pro, a champion toy chaser, and will charm you with her tiny meows when dinner is even a minute late. If you’re looking for a cat who gives you heart-eyes and hilarity in equal measure, Ducky’s your girl.
Creamsicle - ADOPTED!
Creamsicle is an orange-and-white tabby who was clinging to the side of the cage at the shelter, insisting that we take him. He is very intelligent and inquisitive and if a closed door happens to open, he’s right there to bound through it to check out the other side. He’s a purr machine when he slows down enough to cuddle on your lap. He’s about 11 weeks old, as of 6/8/25.
Viola - ADOPTED!
Once upon a time, on a beautiful sunny spring day, a group of violin and viola students gathered for a spring recital. What did their ears hear that afternoon? The vibrant sounds of a violin? The rich melancholy of the viola? The sound of a......squalling kitten??!! Yes, most definitely the sound of a kitten in distress. Fortunately for this little cutie, there were not one, but two animal rescue foster families in attendance that day. The kids dubbed her Viola. She was taken into foster care to grow, thrive and get used to the dog and adult cat in the foster home. Her first visit to the vet was on May 19th, where she weighed in at 1.3 pounds; she also got her first round of shots. She's a little small for her estimated age of about 7-8 weeks (as of May 25), but boy is she mighty, fearless. and growing every day! This little princess rules the foster home. She is a dilute tortie, and torties are well known for their tortitude -- and she definitely does not disappoint! Her story is not over yet -- it is just beginning. She is waiting for her purrrfect forever home to start writing the next chapter in her adventure.
Root Beer - ADOPTION PENDING!
Hi, there! My name is Root Beer, and I am waiting for my forever home. I was born in March, 2024, and I am in excellent health. I am neutered and have had all my shots. My brother, Oliver, and I came to SARG after our first owner made it clear she did not want us and might shoot us! I am an observant and curious cat. I like to have some time to warm up to new people, but after that we can be best friends! I like to play with chase toys and I enjoy cat treats! I have impeccable litter-box habits. I currently live with my brother, another unrelated male cat, and a large rabbit. I occasionally meet with the family dogs. I am a quiet cat, and I would surely love to have a family of my own!
Here’s a video of Root Beer and his brother Oliver.
Oliver - ADOPTION PENDING!
Hello! I am Oliver. I was born in March, 2024. I am neutered and have had all my shots. All I need now is a special person or family who wants me as much as I want them! I am in a foster home at the moment, and I don’t get all the attention I would really like. I would love to be in your lap or helping you with your projects as much as possible! I love cat treats and interesting games! My foster mother considers me a very well-balanced and sociable cat. My litter-box manners are perfect too, she says. Right now I live with my brother, another unrelated male cat, a large rabbit, and I occasionally interact with the family’s dogs. I get along with everybody. Go ahead and give SARG a call! I’m waiting for you!
Here’s a video of Oliver and his brother Root Beer.
Goldie - ADOPTION PENDING!
Lap cat alert! Goldie is this four-year-old, beautiful cat's name, since she is a rare example of a female orange kitty, and most orange cats are male. Goldie is super affectionate with humans, but because she is scared of the foster family's dog and even a little intimidated by their cat, she would probably do best as an only cat in a quiet home. Goldie is totally litter-box trained, and if you are looking for a lap cat, she is the cat for you! Just check out those striking green eyes and gorgeous orange coat, the perfect complementary color combination on the color wheel. For more information on this fetching feline, contact SARG, and help find this sweet cat her furever home.
Arya - ADOPTION PENDING!
Arya is still very young. The vets estimated that she's probably around 8 or 9 months. She was abandoned by her previous owners in a secluded wooded area either while she was pregnant or after she had her 6 babies. A kind construction worker ran across her and her 2-week-old babies while he was at his work site. He refused to leave them out there to die in the 90+ temperatures, so he put them in a crate and had them in a Waffle House, trying to find a home for them. A friend of their foster mom took them and brought them to her. Arya has been so sweet and has never swatted at us or even hissed when we picked up her babies. She's been an excellent mommy and was always so attentive when one of her babies cried. She loves to play and cuddle. She really enjoys feather toys! She has had a rough start in life and so deserves to have a loving family.
