Weekend at the Lake

SARG is auctioning off a 3 night, 4 day weekend in a lovely cabin in Piney Flats. The days will be a Friday to Monday morning, possibly extending your stay at your cost. The owners have described the home in the following way:

Escape to a tranquil country lakefront ranch complete with a basement and modern comforts. This inviting retreat boasts 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, sleeps 10,  and the convenience of high-speed internet. Step into the backyard, where a private dock awaits, equipped with kayaks - including 1 triple, 2 single adult, and 4 smaller kayaks for children or petite adults - offering serene views of Boone Lake's quiet cove. Relax on the back porch as you observe the passing wildlife, from graceful deer and soaring hawks to playful river otters and the occasional bear.

Nearby marinas offer boat rentals, while nearby parks beckon with extensive hiking and biking trails. The area is brimming with attractions, including the adrenaline-fueled excitement of Bristol Motor Speedway just 15 minutes away. If games of chance appeal to you, there is the Bristol Hard Rock Casino just across the state line in Bristol, VA. Or perhaps the play's your thing? Try the famous Barter Theater in Abingdon, VA. Venture further to explore Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and the Creeper Trail in Abingdon, VA (45 minutes), or enjoy Dollywood and immerse yourself in the natural splendor of Smoky Mountain National Park (1.5 hours). Closer to home, historic Johnson City awaits just 30 minutes away, while the grandeur of The Biltmore Estate in Asheville beckons at just 1.25 hours' drive.
